There's something so astounding about Shiva...
His matted hair, marks of ash on his forehead, his trident, his drum, a snake draped around his neck, his cosmic dance... Shiva thadava..
I can hear the drums rolling... can see his beautiful figure walking getting up from his 'Nishta'..
As the beats get louder he starts to dance... his beautiful cosmic dance.. and the world stops to spin.. only to watch the spectacular form move gracefully...
I go into a trance watching him... Watching the only truth in front of my very eyes...
With my Shiva..I am forever in bliss...

On a different note...Some of the hardcore trance/rave party-heads always start the party with a prayer to Natraj..the dancing one. Infact, the guy who started the whole trance-dance scene in Goa is also a Aghore Sadhu of sorts..Goa Gil is also known as Baba Mangalanand..He is 65 years old and I have seen him DJ'ng in Shiva Valley(Goa)...His matted dreads, rudraksh mala's remind me of his master..then he invokes his name and begins mixing tunes....He says that being lost in trance or the state of nothingness, when u just dance out of sheer joy of dancing with no ulterior motive, you are the closest to god. Goa Gil is an American.
Its his grace which made everyone of us to feel the bliss....
He is only god who was never born nor
died.
He is the ruler of so called gods...demigods.
He is the mrutyunjai...
He is the one who takes/accepts what others hate.
And thats why he is called Mahadeva/Mahakala.. The puppeteer of the this big drama...where the demigods and the souls are being operated with the string called maya.
